what a nice write up. Just wondering if you anytime analyzed TFI International as well? I like the acquisiton strategy. What about you?

Hi SCP - thanks for reading and adding these kind comments! I have looked at TFI International. That has been a great compounder over the years and management has done so through acquisitive growth. I currently own Old Dominion Freight and prefer that name mainly due to the better long-term operating ratio, the way management allocates capital, the land competitive advantage they hold and of course, the less levered balance sheet and the insider ownership. It ticks a lot of boxes for me personally. Two different strategies for the companies, but both have had terrific runs the past decade

thank you for your thoughts. Also TFII has good insider ownership and is lead by the founder. Different business strategy with acquisitions vs. owning land. I just thought, that TFII might be the better risk reward at current valuation and started a position these days. Lets see how it plays out, but both seem to be great businesses to me. both are buying back shares aggressively over the last years as well
